Offered support in this "intern-like" position to gain hands-on experience and general knowledge and etiquette in various specialties within the Operating Room, some of which included: - Acting as a third member of the surgical tech team as needed by scrubbing into surgical procedures to hold instruments, aid in positioning, etc.- Transferring and positioning patients pre-operatively in preparation for surgery- Retrieving and handling blood products and laboratory specimens as needed- Maintain strict cleanliness policies to ensure both employee and patient safetyand satisfaction- Assist staff in any way needed

Aided nurses and nurse practitioners to provide patient care, including, but not limited to: - Documenting medical histories- Taking and documenting patient vitals- Phlebotomy- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens- Performing laboratory tests (CBC, CMP, Lipid, Covid-19, Influenza,Streptococcus, Mononucleosis, etc.)- Welcoming patients and ensuring patient welfare and comfort- Sending referrals, patient/telephone interaction, and any aid to nurses, nursepractitioners, or patients as needed
