Lead membership by defining and pursuing the goals and objectives of the chapter. Delegate responsibilities to other officers and members so that all members are involved in committees and/or activities. Find out what resources are available locally and Society-wide. Keep a list of objectives with dates and deadlines. Establish regular meeting times for the entire chapter, and officers and advisors. Plan fund-raising functions. Be a role model.

President of the only general LGBTQIA+ club at Lafayette College. Coordinate and organize bi-monthly meetings focused on community building and education. Research and establish connections with local LGBTQIA+ organizations. Collaborate with other student organizations to host and sponsor events. Negotiate speaker contact and contracts for larger events. Plan and implement events such as Condom Bingo, the first LGBTQIA+ formal at Lafayette College, and the first ever Pride Week Drag Show (winner of the Big 8 Event of the year).

Selected as a peer mentor for leadership and outstanding achievement in the field of psychology. Meet monthly with my mentee to aid in navigating the opportunities and challenges of a psychology major at Lafayette College and address concerns across all dimensions of college living, as well as planning course registration for all four years of college.

Collaborated with Dr. Susan Hannan specifically on the development of her study, “The Impact of Institutional Responses on Unwanted Sexual Experiences on Campus: A Longitudinal Study”. The aim of this project was to assess potential changes in students’ perceptions of institutional betrayal (or support) following an unwanted sexual experience on campus. Aimed to assess psychological reactions (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, depression symptoms) following unwanted sexual experiences that occur on campus, and to examine the possible interactions among perceived institutional betrayal (or support), unwanted sexual experiences, and subsequent psychological reactions. Conducted a review of the literature, assisted with project design and hypothesis formulation, organized the Institutional Review Board (IRB) application, and prepared for data collection.
