In 2017, I spent 3 months living in Tafedna, a small valley on the coast of Morocco. Before experiencing it, Tafedna was just a random valley, but then relationships filled with expressive hand gestures and hikes marked by wandering donkeys transformed it into a familiar home. This wasn’t my typical home—I grew up in NYC—but the emotions I experienced were the type you only feel in the presence of family and friends.One thing I’ve learned the more I travel is that a place is only a place until your experience shapes it into something more. This is a feeling I’m familiar with and a feeling I want to share. I’m passionate about helping others experience the world in a way that transforms seemingly little moments into lifelong memories that enrich their souls with culture and adventure.In each place I’ve ever stayed, I’ve formed friendships and shared stories. I’ve cried and laughed and cried from laughing. I’ve eaten unfamiliar things like sheep’s brain and chicken gizzards. But most importantly, I’ve been generously and warmly welcomed by strangers from across the world—from the little girls who lived downstairs from me in Morocco who would bring me a bouquet of wildflowers each week to the man experiencing homelessness in Madrid whose eyes taught me to give what I can and not just what I want. These journeys have taught me how to put myself out there, but most importantly, they've taught me that this world is filled with beautiful souls with beautiful stories that deserve to be shared.My career has been marked by the desire to scatter magic across the little moments, and I’ve been fortunate enough to do that in a variety of industries and roles, while building a diverse skillset.If you’re looking to scatter some magic and need a logistical superstar to help, send some virtual wildflowers my way at wallin.catherine@gmail.com!
