The City of Knox is a local government organisation located in the south-east of Melbourne which supports a diverse municipality known for its parks, sports and recreation facilities and as the centre for manufacturing in the region. Duties and Responsibilities:- End-to-end video production from writing, filming, editing, designing and animating motion graphics while adhering to the company’s visual identity.- Translating creative brief into a script or storyboard.- Editing linear or nonlinear stories and live stream videos.- Analysing video statistics and metrics to understand the market.- Constant risk management in all videos released.- Developing video style guides and custom graphic templates to maintain a unified visual language within all content.Achievements:- Produced 92 videos within 11 months.- Produced a video that has 23,919 views out of 41,122 reach. The highest among Knox’s produced videos in the past.- Increased the “minutes viewed” of 2018-19’s videos to 152,770 from 25,582 (497% increase) of 2017-18’s videos.- Instigated a video style guide with a clear list of goals, strategies, and measurement techniques.- Researched and created a strategy to engage the community in council meeting videos. Noticed an exponential drop on the retention metrics and recognised the need for a better strategy. Hence, we devised a "list of topics" graphics on every 3rd second of the video. We also included the topic list on the post description with their respective time stamp so the viewer can skip to the ones they are most interested in. Since we implemented this, we noticed an increase in the retention metrics and we can now recognise which topic people are most concerned about. - Pioneered Knox News video series, a vertical video of Knox's breaking news. This made news more engaging and accessible to the community via their mobile phones. It has a quick turnover time thus, I created motion graphic templates exclusively designed for this series.
