In 2010, Catherine and her consulting team supported the MEDIC contract with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Health Plan Compliance Program Effectiveness Audits. In 2006 and again in 2008, Ms. Boerner helped revised the Hospital Payment Monitoring Program (HPMP) Compliance Workbook for the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) community and 4000+ acute-care PPS hospitals. This workbook focuses on compliance issues related to inpatient prospective payment system (PPS) payment error monitoring and prevention which is now the focus of the RAC audits. Show less
