Senior Marine Scientist/Environmental Consultant, Business Development Unit
Role: Project Manager responsible for all aspects of environmental approval and compliance on behalf of multiple clients, mostly within the Australian resource sector. Projects ranges from small (Local Council) to large (Chevron: Gorgon Gas Development, Queensland Gas Company: QCLNG Curtis Island) scale.Challenge: Ensure project approval and ongoing compliance in accordance with relevant State and Federal legislation, Client, government and internal systems and processes and best practice.Tasks: Environmental impact assessment and environmental management of projects including risk assessment, development and implementation of suitable control measures and ongoing monitoring and audit.Specialisations: Management of impacts of industrial facilities and associated infrastructure on sensitive ecological receptors including measurement and monitoring of impacts from artificial light and management of associated ecological impacts.Additional responsibilities: Business Development, seeking new Clients and securing long-term partnerships.
