A few career highlights: In 1995 all contracts were renogiated in Europe which led to an optimum price achieved by Skibound Leisure Group when aquired by First Choice. In 1997 the successful stabilisation and control of operational fixed costs in Contiki Europe led to a transfer to Contiki Africa. This promotion was the first female regional director appointment for the group globally.In 1998 the brand new brochure and reinvented tour programme for Contiki Africa was rolled out globally with authentic adventures from North to South. By January 1999 the global marketing effort and rave reviews from our tours had resulted in departures being doubled.In 2002 I was awarded a scholarship to study for an MBA at Wits Business School.A succesful implementation of new distribution channels in established markets for Sun International resulted in the opportunity to head up a project in 2003 to define and explore emerging markets.In 2005 Brazil's leading Business Forum LIDE held their annual conference at the Palace. This was led by Mr Joao Doria, now Mayor of Sao Paolo.The MBA from Wits Business School filled in any gaps on a commercial level and taught me the value of research.The Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Journalism from Rhodes University provided a solid understanding of the media and how to harness it.A step into broadcast media and personal branding with radio personality, speaker and now author, Bruce Whitfield. His inaugural book, 'Upside of Down', launched as lockdown hit, March 2020, a rapid shift to an entirely digital campaign ensured it still became the bestseller it was destined to be.
