I am Partner and Head of Tax at Wylie & Bisset LLP leading the provision of taxation services within the firm. With several years experience in a mixed tax role my remit covers all aspects of tax compliance and advisory services and I am able to consult on both personal and corporate taxes. My client base is varied across all sectors but I have noted specialism in the hospitality sector and the professional services sector advising on sales and acquisitions and ongoing tax planning opportunities. Other types of work undertaken include inheritance tax reviews and planning, capital gains tax reviews and planning, due diligence, transactional planning including tax efficient restructuring and remuneration/exit planning. I am supported by an experienced team covering the full range of taxation services. We work closely with the firm's partners and other service lines to provide excellent client service across the board. I have specialised in taxation since qualifying as a CharteredTax Adviser in 1998. My expertise covers both corporate and personal taxation providing advice on general compliance and tax planning strategies.Examples of work undertaken include planning to minimise tax payable, tax efficient capital gains tax planning, corporate restructuring and inheritance tax planning and exit strategies.In November 2011 I was recognised as one of the "40 under 40 Ones to watch in tax" by The Tax Journal.
