Hello,My name’s Cat Caldwell, I am an Australian pharmacist who has been practising as a hospitals clinical pharmacist for the majority of my career. I now live and work in London, previously as an Medicines Management Operations Manager and now as a Medicines Optimisation Innovation Manager at ICHP.I have worked across a range of healthcare settings in London and Australia. Most recently I am working as the Medicines Optimisation Innovation Manager at ICHP, bridging the gap between NHS and Health Innovation Networks. Previously I was working in Melbourne as the Medicines Optimisation Project Management Pharmacist and in London as the Operations Manager for the Medicines Management team within Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) NHS trust. Working across a variety of different areas has enabled me to develop my management and quality improvement skills. One of my passions is using technology to automate services, resulting in a consistent clinical pharmacy service.Prior to the first moving to London in 2018 I was a senior clinical pharmacist at Redlands Hospital, this was a step up from my previous role as an oncology pharmacist, as I have now gained vital managerial experience. Previous to this I spent 3 years training as an oncology pharmacist. I have had vast experience throughout a wide range of positions including clinical trials, production, ward based and daycare patient counselling roles. I have an in depth knowledge in oncology especially in immunotherapies, oncological emergencies and managing toxicities. I love learning and sharing my knowledge with other, teaching is something which I most enjoy this is shown by my dedication as a preceptor to interns and pharmacy students alike. I am excited to expand my oncology knowledge and share it with others using an EBM approach. I hold a masters degree in pharmacy, and a bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science, majoring in pre-pharmacy from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in Queensland. In 2018 I completed the University of Tasmania’s Graduate Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy, which I am hoping to convert to a Master of Clinical Pharmacy upon my return to Australia.
