Reporting into the VP FF EAO Operations, responsible for developing and driving strategy to improve quality and compliance from the Customer’s perspective, within the €1.3BN, 33 sites, Fiber Foodservice segment. Acting as the main liaison with key customers representing over 1/3 of segment turnover. Launched Huhtamaki “Certification charter“ and led and coached 22 sites (across Europe, Asia and Oceania) to 100% compliance to BRC & ISO9001 standards. Reduced key customer complaints by -24% in 2017, -20% in 2018, and -11% in 2019, demonstrating continuous improvement.Represented technical in the acquisition team for 3 new sites and was the technical lead in the India facility improvement programme, achieving commercially critical Starbucks approval within 6 months of ownership. Developed segment food contact (migration) testing standard, wrote segment customer complaints guidelines and supplier approval protocol, including carrying out start -up audits for new group suppliers. Handled critical supplier legality issue, and ensured compliance for all products, without loss of business.Implemented QMS software solution to reduce manual management of quality processes at site and segment level and working on automated solutions for quality issue prevention. Carried out the first “Customer Satisfaction” survey for the segment, with results showing good or above in all areas, even compared to competitors.June 2020, gained responsibility to harmonise and further improve quality & compliance standards across a total of 33 sites.

Full accountability for Business Excellence at the two Gosport sites, as well as supporting the unit management team. Accountable for all aspects of Quality Management, including QA, NPD, Six Sigma and Compliance.

DTM for the Dairies Division, for 6 years covering 7 factories and subcontractors, supplying all the major retailers. Moved to become DTM for Foods, covering 5 factories and the major brands of Cathedral City, Utterly Butterly, Country Life etc.Reporting to the Technical Director and responsible for strategy and continuous technical improvement within the Divisions.

Initial role as Implementation manager - achieved objectives to set up and run effective NPD management system, spec and implement LIMS system, and ensure all technical information available to meet all retailer demands. Responsible for on time RFT NPD delivery.Moved to Quality Manager - reduced cost of quality by 75%, and reduced customer complaints, and response times. Set up vendor appraisal and internal audit systems.

Initially Technical Director, spearheaded initiatives in raw materials and vendor appraisal generating >100k savings in first year, drove major quality improvement programme - realising 50% reduction in complaints, and increased RFT from 35% to 75% in one year. Pivotal role in factory redevelopment.Moved to Operations Director, carried out strategic restructure, increased units produced per month by 10% and output per person by 20% with no investment. Manufactured >250 new products in 8 weeks, while maintaining existing catalogue. Specified and purchased >300k new equipment, installed on time.

Moved from trainee to Senior Technologist, covering Toiletries and Cosmetics, Recipe Dishes, Soft Drinks, Meat and Meat Products. Responsible for Safety, Quality, Legality and NPD of food produced by Suppliers.
