Driven by a sense of social justice and the notion that each individual has the right to a productive and meaningful life, I am inspired by work that empowers. To that end, I have focused largely in the (I)NGO realm, in the fields of refugee resettlement/legal aid, youth and community development. I have made it a point to live, study and work in multicultural environments, both in the U.S. and abroad (including Latin America/Caribbean, the Middle East & Africa). Others have described me as patient, adaptable, hard-working, compassionate and diplomatic. I believe in leading by example and in striking a balance between seriousness and good humor.Particular interests: refugee & citizenship rights; statelessness; gender equality; youth empowerment.
