ARLF Associates are individuals who share our values and are uniquely skilled in developing and delivering leadership programs and initiatives to manage change in rural, regional and remote Australia. Helping with program design, delivery and facilitation, associates either work as part of the team or deliver a program end to end.The Associate network allows the Foundation to consistently deliver high-quality programs all over the country, as well as offering industry-specific or tailored leadership development programs on demand.Becoming an ARLF Associate is exclusively by invitation only following an expression of interest or nomination by a team member or fellow associate. While Associates are often alumni from our programs, this is not a requirement.

Delivering work for public and private organisations, large and small predominantly across northern Australia and south east Asia. The main focus areas have been the following:- Worked throughout Asia, predominantly Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia in the beef industry as a nutritionist and feedlot management consultant, trusted advisor connecting government and industry and leadership facilitator. (2007 - 2013)- Developed and led various research projects for different clients managing multi-stakeholder, public private collaborations, particularly across northern Australia. This included value identification and realisation, budget management, sourcing funding, finding partners and ensuring impact.- Engaged, wrote, led and delivered various strategies, senate submissions, constitutional reviews, and consulting reports that shape positive change for rural communities and industries.- Founded a company called Influential Women where I designed and delivered rural leadership programs to over 2500 rural women across Australia. The purpose was to build confidence, capacity and skills in women to better represent themselves and their industries. I did this in partnership with many industry and private organisations.

Currently taking a year off work to consolidate my life experiences and what I’ve learned so far. I’m using this year to explore the world, asking questions to identify the next gap and where my skills and passions can align to move the needle on something that matters, which will inevitably be in global agriculture somewhere. I’m also using this year to complete my Nuffield Scholarship, where I’m looking at global ESG policy and its impact on Australian farming, as well as the implications of the wealthy worlds push for ESG credentials on the developing world and us achieving the UN set SDG’s.

The purpose of the Murray LLS Board is to manage resources from the State in the most beneficial way. This involves managing sometimes competing interests of profitable and productive agriculture, environmental management and conservation and promotion, support and protection of cultural sites and heritage for the community. Our activities includes biosecurity, emergency management and ongoing programs to build capacity and resilience in individuals, businesses and communities across the region.

Highlights include - Increasing membership by 20% year on year - Developed an investible and clear 5 year strategy and delivered a restructure, complete with quantifiable KPI's to deliver against that strategy. - Built an extraordinary team and culture having increased staffing levels from 4-13 while returning the organisation to surplus. - Increased our projects under management from 7 to 36 and increased investors 5 fold. - Increased the diversity of projects under management, attracting investment not only in soils and grains, but livestock, pastures, carbon, environment, data management, agtech, energy and community.

This partnership is the first ever bi-partisan, public private sector agreement between Australia and Indonesia. The members were appointed by the Minister the Hon. Barnaby Joyce and approved by PM Hon Tony Abbott. On this partnership there are independent partners and government representatives from both Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Together, we are working with Indonesian Government representatives and independent Indonesian Partners to develop long term sustainability in the Indonesian red meat and cattle sector. In this position I was in charge of formulating feedlot rations for clients as well as premix formulations to balance out those rations. BEC Feed Solutions is a premixing plant so I had the ability to formulate specific mineral and vitamin requirements for specific clients which was determined by what they were feeding and how.
