CurrentDelivering work for public and private organisations, large and small predominantly across northern Australia and south east Asia. The main focus areas have been the following:- Worked throughout Asia, predominantly Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia in the beef industry as a nutritionist and feedlot management consultant, trusted advisor connecting government and industry and leadership facilitator. (2007 - 2013)- Developed and led various research projects for different clients managing multi-stakeholder, public private collaborations, particularly across northern Australia. This included value identification and realisation, budget management, sourcing funding, finding partners and ensuring impact.- Engaged, wrote, led and delivered various strategies, senate submissions, constitutional reviews, and consulting reports that shape positive change for rural communities and industries.- Founded a company called Influential Women where I designed and delivered rural leadership programs to over 2500 rural women across Australia. The purpose was to build confidence, capacity and skills in women to better represent themselves and their industries. I did this in partnership with many industry and private organisations.
Middle Aged Gap Year (Magy)
Currently taking a year off work to consolidate my life experiences and what I’ve learned so far. I’m using this year to explore the world, asking questions to identify the next gap and where my skills and passions can align to move the needle on something that matters, which will inevitably be in global agriculture somewhere.
