One of North America's leading magazines of international architecture and design.As Editor, I developed and lead the creative vision and content of each issue and worked on Azure’s digital and social media extensions. I worked closely with top art directors, journalists, photographers, architectural firms, design studios and PR offices from around the world, and crafted original stories that delve into the fast-paced evolution of architecture and design, from how to build smart cities to the latest products launched at major fairs like Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 2016, the editorial/design team took on the ambitious plan to reposition and re-energize Azure with a complete overhaul – an initiative that entailed extensive outreach to industry professionals to partake in think tanks and roundtable discussions. The year-long project, launched in two phases (September 2017 and January 2018), garnered two National Magazine Awards; one for a feature story on gender inequality in the architecture profession; the other nomination shortlisted Azure as Best Magazine.My position also entailed recruiting editorial staff, developing, training and mentoring team players, and cultivating a public visibility for Azure through speaking engagements, events, and partnerships. I also travelled extensively, attending and reporting on major festivals and events, including Milan Design Week, Chicago Architecture Biennale, Venice Architecture Biennale, London Design Festival, and many more.

Toronto’s premiere quarterly publication for contemporary furniture and interior designWhile Senior Editor at Azure, I was simultaneously Editor of Designlines, Azure’s sister publication, where I took the lead in story ideation to engage new readers and highlight Toronto’s burgeoning architecture and design scenes. We rebranded the look, logo, and editorial tone to better reflect the city’s growing appetite for well-designed houses, bars, cafés, and retail shops. Designlines eventually grew to a 100+ page publication released four times a year.

Political and cultural magazine devoted to long-form journalism.I was hired in the second year of the magazine’s founding, just as The Walrus was establishing itself as a foundation and as Canada’s premier publication of long-form journalism. I managed the editorial staff, oversaw a robust internship program, and streamlined editorial and production processes to meet intense deadlines.

I wrote a weekly column devoted to Toronto's visual arts scene. Each week, I reviewed three exhibitions, ranging from one-off events and salons hosted at local bars and cafés to blockbuster shows held at major art institutions.

Co-founder and Editor of Lola, a beloved Toronto art magazine that launched during the 1990s recession. The quarterly magazine provided an open, non-elitist forum where everyone was welcome to write art reviews. The premise preceded the popularity of blogs and online comments. Lola eventually reached a print-run of 10,000, and received a National Magazine Award for a feature story on curator Philip Monk, written by Gerald Hannon.
