Responsibilities:• Identification, capture, handling and relocation of all fauna species across the site (Under the conditions of the government permit) including venomous snakes, other reptiles, mammals and birds• On site fauna rehabilitation • Fauna euthanasia using the most up to date technique on injured native species and pest species • On call 24/7 for fauna rescue or relocation • Habitat inspections of RoWs proposed to be cleared assessing the flora communities, habitat types and associated fauna, scats, tracks, hollows, burrows, and other environmental features of interest that are marked prior to clear and grade activities• On site presence with machinery during clear and grade activities • Trench / bellhole inspections• Report sightings of significant species across the project to the Client and complying to all government requirements that ensures minimal impact to Endangered, Vulnerable and Near Threatened (EVNT) fauna species • Comply with the requirements of any relevant state management plans (e.g. Nature Conservation (Koala) Conservation Plan 2006 – 2016)• Fauna monitoring within a major watercourse crossing including nocturnal surveys, trapping, static motion camera installation, and noting the presence of scats, tracks and other fauna traces• Conduct environmental / fauna toolbox and prestart talks to the construction crews
