Led a comprehensive development program for Michigan’s oldest independent, co-educational Pre-K to 12th grade day school with endowment of $43 million by overseeing all fundraising initiatives and a national alumni relations program. Directed a variety of events, coordinated and facilitated the work of two governing board committees, served on the administrative and advancement leadership teams, and managed a staff of six development professionals and a departmental operating budget of $580,000.Raised $8.1 million for University Liggett School over five-year period for endowment, annual scholarships and operations.Exceeded national average parent gift size and participation for peer independent schools during tenure—$811 as compared to $647; 52% as compared to 43% (NAIS Stats-online).

Alpena, Michigan

Led a full-time development office establishing new programs and collaborative initiatives to grow the Foundation.Initiated a strategic planning process for the ACC Foundation Board of Trustees which established a vision and direction for future growth.Created a variety of programs to engage faculty, staff and donors such as: Stewardship, Alumni Award, Alumni Newsletter, Faculty Grants, Fundraising, Tribute and Memorial, Cultivation and Planned Giving which continue today.Increased size and visibility of scholarship program by cultivating donors to support and establish funds.Secured planned gifts to endow theater operations and establish several scholarship funds.Awarded Administrator Emeritus status by the Alpena Community College Board of Trustees, November 2002 and Employee-of-the-Month Recognition Award, 1996 and 2002.
