Providing assessment and treatment planning for military and non-military sources of PTSD. Sources of PTSD are primarily combat-related, but may also include military sexual trauma or other untoward events occurring during the military service, such as motor vehicle accidents, physical assaults, and childhood trauma. Developing diagnostic skills in the assessment of military-related PTSD, including the acquisition of basic differential & dual diagnostic knowledge.

Psychology trainee providing outpatient therapy in the Rehabilitation clinic for individuals living with a chronic illness or disability. Getting trained in the assessment and intervention of personal, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, and cognitive factors that might be affected by a person's disability or chronic illness. Primarily treating adult patients with disabling conditions resulting from traumatic illness or injury, with an emphasis on injuries of the central nervous system. These include, but are not limited to, the following: concussion, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, stroke, and other neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis. Partnering with providers at the University Orthopaedic Center and the Clinical Neurosciences Center to provide psychological evaluations for patients before they undergo surgery for neuromodulation treatment (procedure to relieve pain), such as implanting a spinal cord stimulator (a device that sends low levels of electricity into the spinal cord).
