Having an entrepreneurial spirit has led me to work with and for small businesses, including co-founding Sage Business Credit in 2013. Small business requires a willingness to forge new paths, wear multiple hats and possess an “all hands-on deck” attitude to enable growth and build organizational strength when resources are limited. After 25 years leading teams primarily in asset-based lending and factoring, I have gained extensive experience with creative problem solving. Working with businesses in distress as well as those experiencing rapid growth has required fact finding, collaboration, and risk mitigation, often with a sense of urgency. Unique situations that lack a blueprint present the most challenging and rewarding problems to solve. Relationships are built through authenticity and mutual respect. Strong relationships are the key to success, as well as the key to happiness. I have been fortunate enough to build a large network of smart people, most of whom I consider friends. Making connections to help others find success and expand their own networks is one small way that I add value to my relationships.
