Completed a temp position at Manutan. Main duties included editing the website and creating advertising content for the website. This really improved my website editing skill, as well as my copy writing and editing skills.

This role largely involved dealing with customer complaints and logging faults. It also including working alongside the the engineers, and scheduling them to attend to eqipment. It was highly pressured environment where working quickly and to tight deadline was key.

Worked as a shop assistant. This role involved me working well as a team, and being self motivated when working alone. Being a good communicator was also very important, as was customer service.

I was given the brief to redesign and rewrite a micro-site in two weeks and then present my results to the associate partner and the marketing manager. The micro-site gave information about a specific injury that can be obtained during a car accident. This brief was both challenging and immensely enjoyable, as it pushed me out of my comfort zone. In the time I had I researched the injury, and wrote all of the copy necessary for the website. I received extremely high praise, and was told that I produced work to the standard of a professional copy writer.

This experience allowed me to increase my team working skills and gave me a good insight into working with in a relatively small charity setting. I also gained an insight into some of the challenges that small non for profit organisations face, and how you can overcome these challenges.
