I also lead the Food Bank's advocacy initiatives, and I am heavily involved in fundraising, donor relations and business development efforts for the organization.

As the Public and Community Relations Coordinator for the Food Bank of Western New York, I was responsible for the planning, development and implementation of internal and external public and community relations activities. I cultivated relationships with the media, and reached out to government officials and community leaders to advocate on behalf of Food Bank and its clients.

My duties were vast and ever-changing as the marketing coordinator for the thriving Buffalo-based law firm of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP. I was responsible for many facets of public relations for the firm, including crafting press releases, managing website and social media content, event planning and assisting with business development.

As the editor of the Orchard Park Bee, I was responsible for many duties, such as conducting interviews, writing articles and editorials, assigning reporters and photographers to cover events, and bringing unbiased, truthful account of events to the communities I covered. I enjoyed that my work kept me on my toes and brought me new challenges each day. Most importantly, I loved getting to know the hopes and concerns of the residents in my coverage area.

As a reporter for The Metro Group, I was responsible for writing a variety of feature, human interest and hard news stories, primarily for The Sun newspaper. I wrote a bi-weekly column which was featured in the majority of Metro Group's newspapers. I was also responsible for proofreading, editing, and laying out the newspaper.
