I am currently a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), leading a STEAM Mobile Innovation Lab that engages 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in hands-on STEAM activities. My focus is on fostering creativity and critical thinking through experiential learning in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, while exposing students to a variety of Career and Technical Education pathways offered in the district.Before this role, I spent 14 years teaching secondary mathematics, with experience ranging from junior high in Nevada to high school in Washington State. My background includes a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Central Washington University, a Master's in Adolescent Literacy and Technology from Walden University, and National Board Certification in Adolescent/Young Adult Mathematics.
