I'm so glad you're here!I believe that relationships are the most important aspect of a person receiving the support and care they need, and within that therapeutic relationship, my goal as a mental health professional is to be person-centered and empower the individual to advocate for their needs and wants. I strive to create a space in which individuals feel comfortable, supported, and valued, including having their voice fully heard. It is only once this relationship has been established and the client feels empowered that true connection and change can take place. In rehabilitation counseling education, we are taught to approach counseling in a person-centered, strengths-based manner. My goal as a counselor is to do exactly that - see each individual as a whole person, highlight their strengths, and help them utilize those strengths to heal and thrive.
