I manage the design and building processes of the entire team, and oversee all the subsystems. Competition documentation and team documentation is also a large part of my job, as we try and document everything we do. We utilize MS Project as one of our trackers for timelines, which I have spent a lot of time setting up and going through. As Engineering Manager, it is my job to make sure all the subsystems integrate with each other properly, and hit all their deadlines so we can adequately build the best car possible.

I was a chassis member on the university FSAE team, where we build a formula style race car every year from scratch. I have learned shop skills, Solidworks, and team skills through this experience. My sophomore year (2023), I designed and built the pedal box for the car, including our brand new two pedal system since we switched from a three pedal manual system to a two pedal paddle system. I also shadowed our Engineering Manager during this year, which then led to me getting the position in 2024 (current position).

As an intern, I aided in fixing drawings on Inventor, AutoCAD, and Solidworks that needed edited as issues came up with parts. I also worked closely with our Wire EDM machinist to condense the files he needed. Since our machining files were company-wide and the Wire EDM machine was relatively new to the company, there were no files condensed to the parts that the Wire EDM could make. By taking all of the parts we needed out of the larger files and making them into dxf files, our machinist no longer had to waste time managing files and could instead just work with the machine. Other small projects were completed as well, such as printing out and editing large print outs of the needed dies for the machines, and organizing them.
