I lead integrated marketing and communications for this commercial real estate operating platform of Northwood Investors, a privately-held real estate investment advisor with $7B in assets under management. I’m an essential business partner and advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, driving corporate-wide communication initiatives and marketing plan implementation. I develop executive messaging, news releases, marketing collateral and customer-facing communications, manage external partnerships and community relations and serve as the company’s media liaison. I oversee all branded assets for Ballantyne properties, including content, production and advertising sales for Ballantyne Magazine, goBallantyne.com and Ballantyne Business Center. I coach and develop a team of 7 marketing, communications, web and creative associates.My successes in this role include:• Improving Ballantyne brand presence by increasing magazine circulation by 4.5%, advertising sales by 36%, and redesigning goBallantyne.com to achieve 30% elevation in site traffic. • Creating compelling marketing materials to sustain high leasing volume, resulting in consistently maintaining 93% occupancy. • Guiding an internal committee to maximize customer potential across properties and services, leveraging cross-marketing to increase new business leads and enhance client experiences.

I was promoted to direct the development and implementation of strategic communications plans for a commercial real estate firm recognized for developing Ballantyne, a 2,000-acre successful master-planned community. I led the communications strategy through acquisition of Bissell by Northwood Investors, developed internal branding and employee engagement initiatives for diverse audiences and drove marketing collateral strategy and website development. Formed new centralized Marcomm team by integrating multiple departments to align with company strategic needs.

Managed Starwood’s loyalty marketing program, Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), at The Ballantyne. Role expanded to oversee public relations and marketing efforts for the property. Developed and implemented strategic campaigns to communicate and promote the hotel’s restaurants and luxury amenities including spa, golf and retail services. Leveraged relationships with community partners to launch special events and elevate guest experiences. Recognized with Franchise Player Award.

I planned and executed corporate conferences, meetings and hospitality events for nonprofits including Easter Seals and City Year and coordinated and managed daily provisions for the firm.

I developed public relations campaigns for entertainment marketing accounts for this global public relations firm with over $812M in annual revenue. My primary account relationship was with Warner Home Video, including writing and research, client reporting, press releases and media relations. Some of my achievements in this role were:• Planning and creating promotions and events for Warner Home Video launches including Giant and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets which resulted in millions of media impressions.• Pitching national, regional and local media and securing coverage in People Magazine, NY Daily News and LA Times.

I managed media relations, including development of press releases, executive biographies, one sheets and monthly program highlights for this television network. I pitched trade and consumer reporters on new programming and created publicity tools and resources for distributed teams in Los Angeles and New York. Acting as webmaster for Lifetime’s press website, I uploaded documents and artwork, and collaborated with the IT team to direct site enhancements and maintenance.
