SFX Production Co-ordinator on behalf of Artem for the Miramax film production 'The Brothers Grimm' directed by Terry Gilliam. Key Achievements:• Organizing test shoots, including all camera, sound and lighting equipment, crew, studio and props.• Producing SFX script breakdowns, production and delivery schedules.• Organizing sea and airfreight transportation and carnets for all models, animatronics & SFX Equipment.• Allocation and supervision of 100+ crew, both in London and on location in Prague, including accommodation, travel, insurance and visas.• Co-ordination of body casts, prosthetic & make up tests on A-List actors, including organizing venue, transport, catering, and materials.• Liasing with the Director and production departments to obtain reference material and approvals. Other projects include element shoots for Tomb Raider II – The Cradle of Life, motion capture shoots for Troy and production admin for commercials company, Loose Moose.

Production Manager for ‘The Wombles’ and 'The Upstairs Downstairs Bears’, two pre-school stop frame animation productions, with responsibility to bring the production in on time and on budget. Constantly working to tight deadlines, co-ordinating all departments and working closely with the Director, Editor and Art Department, to prepare weekly production schedules. Working with 3 co-producers, Scottish TV, Cinar (Canada) and Egmont Imagination (Denmark), with personal responsibility to deal with any problems from the script writing stage to final delivery, including co-ordinating approvals on draft scripts, and edits. Organize all exterior post-production requirements and responsibility for the delivery to the broadcaster.Key Achievements:• Improving my people management skills, with direct supervisory responsibility for 5 animators, 2 camera operators, editor and runner, resulting in a faster production schedule.• Refining my negotiating skills by lowering the cost of postproduction.• Reorganizing production budget reports to show weekly variance.• Generating better relationships with overseas co-producers.• Production was delivered ahead of schedule and well within budget.

Managing the annual training and events programme from concept to completion, including the design of any publicity. The setting up of these courses and events involves negotiating with industry specialists, liaising with studios and other venues, the hire of necessary equipment and initiating budgets and sponsorship. Regularly acting as a link between Committee Chairman, Regional Officers and associations to co-ordinate projects.This position was also acting deputy for the Director of the Society, with responsibility for the total staff in the office.Key Achievements:• Managing VFX 2000, an industry conference held for the first time in Central London with over 160 attendees, with a total budget of over £100K and returning a positive balance.• Organizing the annual Bernard Happe Lecture with Gerry Anderson at the NFT, and the BKSTS Mini-Conference on Digital Cinema at IBC 2000, which included presenters from Lucasfilm, Walt Disney, Odeon Cinemas, Kodak and Screen Digest.• Co-ordinating ‘Digital Babylon’, a first time event held as part of the Birmingham Film Festival focusing on the surge of interest in Digital Cinema and Digital production.• Running a series of successful Foundation Courses, including, TV Technology, Film and SFX (Physical Effects and CGI).• Establishing excellent relations with other industry associations including, BAFTA, BIMA, CST, BSC, VES and The Canadian Embassy.• Representing the BKSTS on the Projectionist Training Forum formed to look at Cinema exhibition standards and distribution.
