My duties and responsibility as a student tutor coincided with improving academic performances amongst first-year undergraduate scholars. Tutoring played a crucial role in improving a scholar's scholastic ability and self-development thus enabling each scholar to benefit as much as possible from their academic career. Furthermore, ensure that each scholar transitioning from high school into a university context has the opportunity to improve their critical thinking ability and assist these scholars in finding practical solutions to challenges exposed at university context(e.g assignment writing, referencing and researching academic literature)

Through the mentorship program, one is afforded the opportunity to become a support system for first-year undergraduate students that are transitioning from high school to university, thus providing motivation, guidance and practical solutions for challenges that are encountered in a university context is imperative.

Participating in this innovative program such as the Master of Ceremony became a tremendous eye-opener. I became aware of the importance of self-presentation thus was afforded the opportunity to enhance my presentation skills not only within the classroom but for the working environment as well

Beyond the Classroom Leadership Programme is tailor-made to help students acquire a deeper understanding of their respective field of studies and assist them in acquiring skills needed for the working environment. Moreover, this programme creates a platform in which each member is required to take on an interactive approach to each session, these sessions challenges students manner of thinking, cultivates self- reflection and allow them to assimilate diverse viewpoints. Furthermore, through this programme, each student becomes more intuitive with their own strengths and weaknesses that require both improvements.
