Cathleen has an interest and passion for guiding children and adults in uncovering their creative passions through natural landscapes. She has had a passion of guiding adults and children since she was in elementary school. Following high school, Cathleen attended Central Connecticut State University where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Some of the courses she took at Central were Psychology of the Exceptional Child, Research Methods and Human Growth and Development. Cathleen conducted her own research study with the title, “Winning College Sports and Increase in Applicants Applying to Universities. While she was in college, during the summers, Cathleen enjoyed the role of Ride Operator at Lake Compounce. She learned the values of teamwork and gained experience in a friendly work environment. During her third year at CCSU, Cathleen took on a position in the Athletic Department Office where she conducted office duties with the Director of Athletics. Upon graduation at CCSU, Cathleen started an assistant preschool teaching position at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club. At the Bristol Boys and Girls Club, Cathleen supervised daily fitness activities and games. She has over 15 years of experience leading children from being a floater, assistant teacher, lead toddler teacher, and lead preschool teacher She has experience working with children with special needs including Autism, ADD, and ADHD. Cathleen enjoys guiding adults and children through movement, singing, dancing and art. Her skills include photography, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, writing, being creative and having a passion for adventure. Her goals include taking on a leadership position and beginning a Chasing Dreams of Play program.
