Raising the profile of the Faculty by working with academics to successfully communicate their research via the national and international media, and to create pathways to impact for that research.

Researched, produced and directed two short films for the University of Essex and spent a period under contract to independent production company, Handle and Spout as their Head of Development. I also edited podcasts for the company, Research Podcasts.

This involved managing and producing a team of around 12 film makers, of varying abilities, as they directed shoots all over the UK and abroad. Reported directly to the Programme’s Editor and Assistant Editor.

Produced & directed a promotional DVD for an Essex College, devised and executed the publicity campaign for a Hertfordshire based theatre company, devised and ran a TV production workshop for a team of journalists and assisted in the publicity campaigns of numerous West End theatre productions.

Assisted in the publicity campaigns for various West End theatre productions including the Old Vic’s production of Arthur Miller’s ‘Resurrection Blues’. This involved working directly with Robert Altman, Neve Campbell and Matthew Modine – and with programmes such as ‘Dimbleby’, ‘GMTV’, ‘Woman`s Hour’ and ‘Richard and Judy’.
