CreativeMornings is a global breakfast lecture series hosted in 200+ cities. Being the worlds largest face-to-face creative community, this engine of generosity helps likeminded creatives meet one Friday every month. The concept is simple: breakfast and a short talk, free of charge and open to anyone. I started the Trondheim chapter as a volunteer host to make an independent arena to bring the creative community in Trondheim closer together and give us all an opportunity to share knowledge and build valuable connections. It has truly been an adventure since day one, and I've personally gained a huge local and global network, which has learned me all about the importance of surrounding myself with inspiring people that loves to lift each other up.

Design Agency founded in the midst of the financial crisis – which learned me a hell of a lot about climbing high mountains in terrible conditions. But the situation, being a small agency in the capitol of Norway, forced us to come up with a unique business plan that kept us running for years.

Starting out as a small production agency, we quickly grew to be a 20+ staff, full-service advertising agency, focusing mostly on providing services related to national marketing campaigns and websites. As head of the creative department I had the pleasure of putting together a team of dedicated designers that created a strong bond, which learned me a lot about the value of helping people thrive in their field and how to be a compassionate leader.

I was part of the editorial team behind Boligbasen. First of it's kind; a magazine that gathered the real estate advertising in Trondheims as one, glossy, medium sized formated magazine. This was at the time when newspaper was printed in huge format and was folded, so the need for a format that could fit the mailbox could potentially revolutionize the industry, and this was also the first time the competing agencies in Trondheim cooperated on marketing. As one can imagine, this was an extremely difficult task, and Bolibasen's life ended one year later. This is one of the funniest project I have ever done, but also definitely the most stressful. If theres one thing I learned from that job was that there is no such thing as not delivering on time.

6 months temporary position as a junior designer

Inkognito was my first full time employee, and as 19-year old, right out of High School/VGS, I had to work day and night to learn all of the software needed – which I had off course, this being in 2000, not learned in school. This wonderful company, with hard working professionals that took me under their wings, was the best education I could ever get. I'm so grateful I was given the chance to grow and learn from a very young age. At Inkognito, I learned not only how to work precisely and swift, there's absolutely no rom for errors when printing magazines. I also learned about work ethics, how to work as a team and respect your colleagues. Even today I look back at that 18 months of hard labour, as a substitute junior designer, as my steppingstone to a career in the creative field.18 months temporary position.
