Finance Manager
CurrentCurrent duties• Ensure quarterly and annual financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS and SORP FRS 102 reporting standards.• Develop, implement, and maintain financial management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.• Review monthly cash flow projections and provide recommendations on investment opportunities to ensure optimal financial management.• Oversee and approve the organization’s monthly reconciliation schedule to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.• Lead the preparation and review of budgets for the UK and international offices, managing an overall budget of approximately US$30m/y.• Authorize purchase orders, payments, and statutory returns, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and financial controls.• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, responding to audit queries and implementing necessary corrective actions.• Identify financial risks across departments and recommend strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the charity’s financial health.• Ensure financial reporting aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives and complies with relevant accounting standards.• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, donors, and partners, to support the charity’s financial sustainability.• Provide leadership and oversight for departments including Reporting, Budgeting & Planning, Procurement, Administration, and Logistics, ensuring effective collaboration and operations.• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by HMRC, Companies House, and the Charity Commission, to maintain the charity’s legal standing and tax status.• Review and assess suppliers' tenders as part of the procurement committee, ensuring financial considerations are integrated into procurement decisions.
