Architectural Design III studio required the students to create a community resilience center for the commonly hurricane-affected city of Lafayette, LA. The emphasis of the studio was on a great degree of self-direction in design investigations, efficient design process, a high level of technical proficiency, an understanding of structure and methods of construction, and a wide range of cultural, environmental, and social issues identified and addressed through immersive projects. The studio underscored the making of architecture requires a continual and iterative investigation of tectonic through physical models which eventually translated into the students' own language for the building design project.

January 2014 - May 2015Member of an interdisciplinary team from the realms of architecture, ecology, environmental science, geology, GIS and sociology in conjunction with the Regional Application Center for the implementation of design and management practices on a large-scale estate in South Louisiana. Responsibilities included master planning, architecture and landscape architecture, with an emphasis on ecological sensitivity, resilience and geospatial and remote sensing technologies across a variety of scales. August 2015 - January 2016Member of an interdisciplinary team on a National Science Foundation (NSF) Water Sustainability and Climate (WSC) project focused on surface water management. Responsibilities included design and implementation, production of informational renderings, maps and graphics to visually communicate project cause, technical writing and research.
