Discovering A Voice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people tell their stories through song. We provide interactive songwriting workshops where groups of people join together to share their stories, find universal truths, and express their wonderful creativity in ways they may have never imagined possible. We know everyone has a voice waiting to be heard.We focus on people who are often considered invisible. If society does not "see" certain populations, then they also do not hear the stories hidden in their hearts and minds. At our core, we recognize everyone's humanity. We see a person, a person with a story, a person with the innate desire to express themselves artistically, a person who matters. It is our goal to put the stories of "invisible" people into songs so that society cannot say they did not hear them.
