I specialize in couples with communication and/or infidelity issues. I help couples move through the pain with healing and growth, to create the relationship they have always dreamed about...In my view, relationships need regular check-ups, just like our bodies. I have over 22 years of experience in working with parents, children and families. I also work with teens who engage in self-harm, and I offer an 8-week anger management program for both adults and teens.

I work within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency, and hire, develop, train, manage, and retain clinical program staff and a clinical team(s) to ensure customer satisfaction and culturally competent service delivery. I provide clinical supervision to staff, who are registered with the BBS, working towards licensure, and function as a liaison between team and community partners. I also provide fiscal stewardship of the team, and act as a bridge between fiscal and other departments. Additionally, I ensure a high quality of service by program staff consistent with the scope of practice applicable as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by Medi-Cal regulations and the California Welfare & Institutions (W&I) Code. Under the direction of the Tribal Administrator/Tribal Council the Director of Family Services will act as the Tribal Representative to both dependency and delinquency court. Ensuring that for all matters of dependency/delinquency the Indian Child Welfare Act and California Welfare and Institutions Code are adhered to and that the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians has standing and a voice in court. Expand and develop social services programs to meet the needs of tribal members which may include, but are not limited to: dependency, delinquency, substance abuse intervention and treatment, domestic violence intervention and advocacy, and the development of ordinances for dependency, delinquency, and domestic violence. Oversee social work and administrative staff. Travel and network with statewide ICWA groups and other tribes in developing programs to best serve the needs of tribal members.

Conduct patient outreach/service recovery rounds for patients in the Emergency Department. Proactively seek improvements and develop programs that will enhance patients' stay while in the ED. Supervise volunteers to augment service recovery outreach to patients. Collaborate with Patient Experience Manager, ED Leadership and others to analyze, review and provide resolution to quality of care complaints. Exercise knowledge and judgment; use policies, medical and financial records to determine the best course of action for resolution. Prepare a report of findings of investigations with recommended resolutions for patient complaints to Liaision Manager, Directors, Chairs and Administrators.

Provided information and referrals for Medi-Cal and Riverside County Health Plan beneficiaries seeking Mental Health Services. Additionally, crisis telephone counseling was provided as needed.

Worked in the ER Department, conducting psychiatric evaluations, 5150's, and providing referrals for patients with psychiatric problems.

Conducted AB2726 Assessments for San Diego County Children's Mental Health. Interviewed and consulted with those pertinent to the knowledge of the children's behavior and reviewed school and psychological reports. Recommendations were made for treatment at Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, where I presented my report and recommendations.

Previously worked as a child abuse investigator for the Emergency Response Program for the Southwest Region. My duties included investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect, coordinating investigations with law enforcement and health care professionals, and removing children from their homes when necessary. Additionally, I prepared Detention Hearing Reports for the Riverside County Juvenile Court, and provided families with referrals and assistance in solving their child abuse and neglect issues.

Investigated child abuse and neglect through the Emergency Response Program. Providedreferrals and counseling to children and their families. Removed children from abusive homeswhen necessary. Coordinated efforts with law enforcement, health care professionals, and othersinvolved in Emergency Response investigations. Performed Investigations for the JuvenileCourt as an Investigations (CDU) social worker. This involved conducting in-depth assessmentsof each child’s situation, and developing and implementing a case plan. Additionally, worked asa Court Officer for the Juvenile Court.
