• Founded citizens group to support Lincoln Public Schools in the wake of controversy when teachers were provided with training materials regarding trans students. Created advisory board and facebook presence.• Organized citizen testimony at LPS School Board meetings in support of trans students. Wrote guest editorial for Lincoln Journal Star newspaper and was featured speaker at “True Stories Live” speaker series.• Met with trans students and school board electoral candidates to discuss challenges and suicide rates for this group of students. Held press conference to endorse candidates for the election.• Following election, broadened organization scope to encompass safety and success of students and the role strong public schools play in a strong community. Organization continues to advocate at the city/ state level.

• Reviewed and approved/denied Land Development Applications in the City of Lincoln and Lancaster County. Studied relevant ordinances, codes, traffic studies, and health/safety reports and applied to project. Considered placement, density, and traffic impact of project and how development fit within the 30-year Comprehensive Plan for the Community. • Heard testimony and met with members of the public regarding economic, social, and health impact on residences and neighborhoods of proposed projects. Scheduled conversion mapping, parallel testing and analysis. Coordinated and ran tests to check hires, benefits, taxes, and paychecks. Composed job postings, prescreened applications for departments, updated job postings phone line and webiste as needed.
