Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the strategic and operational management of a global service parts supply chain functions for the company’s Unity Lab Service division (which supplies high-technology research laboratory with consumables & service parts. Role includes responsibility for 3 x global distribution centres (in USA, Europe and Asia) as well as management of Trunk Stock Inventory for 1,900 engineers globally, in addition to leading continuous upgrades to a supply chain operation.Key achievements• Project managed, from concept to completion the set-up of 2 global distribution centres for Thermo Fisher as Senior Director (Global Service parts Supply Chain); • Consolidation of 11 existing European depots to a single central site in the Netherlands; Cost saving $2.3Mil, on time Delivery +15%., increased FSE efficiency by 2%. • Establishing an Asian distribution centre in Shanghai, reducing customer wait-times from 14 days to just 7 days and reduce Excess & Obsolete Inventory (E&O) reduction by $2 Mil • Create Thermo Fisher’s Inventory Working Capital Annual Operating Plan for $90 Mil & managed performance, using LEAN, Kaizen & Practical Process Improvement methodology to reduce YOY Cost Savings of >$1 Mil -last 3 years.• Led optimisation of trunk stock inventory & Global sharing of inventory for recycling inventory & reduction of aged inventory. Excess & Obsolete Inventory (E&O) reduction of $8 Mil favourable release to the company P&L. • Successfully enabled sharing of best practice globally, delivering significant benefits through shift in focus to a ‘company-wide’ culture as opposed to the previous geocentric model.• Multiple entity ERP system Integration of SAP. • Successfully managed merger of acquisitions into the existing global commercial supply chain increasing throughput by 40%• Order Fill Rate for next day delivery = +97% with 70,000 saleable sku’s, warehouse wait performance >99.7%

Tasked with leading the integration of disparate supply chain processes to a single system and establishing a global culture of sharing knowledge and best practices. Recommended global strategic direction for all processes related to finished goods inventory with additional responsibility for developing, documenting and implementing global process standardisation.

Responsible for managing European service parts supply chain operation with a focus on centralisation of supply chain and improving on time shipment. Key functions included definition of World Class KPI’s and establishment of targets to ensure Distribution, Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Import/Export Compliance and Master Data Teams performance met with defined metrics.
