For the past twenty-one years I have served the community in a variety of roles both in and outside the classroom that have prepared me well for the role of school leader. I have taught all grades in the elementary school and pastored middle and high school students in the church setting. In my current position as Instructional Technology Curriculum Leader (ITCL), I am a building and district leader. I serve weekly on district curriculum teams and daily collaborating with my building’s staff to build and maintain positive school culture, create highly engaging professional development and facilitate grade level PLCs. I continually participate in on-going professional training in the areas of equity, culturally relevant teaching and Restorative Practices. Throughout the course of my career I have worked with students and families from diverse racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a positive and productive partnership. I believe the richness of my educational experiences, commitment to high quality instruction, and focus on relationship building, make me a strong candidate for leader in elementary schools.
