Your best sales professionals (and that may include you):• turn features, functions, and benefits into solutions for that one person’s problem;• change data into compelling information; and• make the experience personal.Here’s a secret. You can infuse your marketing copy with those stories – and still have room for unique features, functions, and facts. I know you have a fantastic story to tell and that you know which customer stories can enhance your library. I was recently in a webinar, and a customer started with “I was suffering from sleepless nights…” – everyone wanted to know more.Not every story has to be a personal gushing of emotions, hardships, and triumphs. However, the right stories:• connect your brand with a mission that matters, or• illustrate complex functionality in a simple form, or• help prospects see the root cause of their problem – not just the symptom.Here’s a reality. Rarely do customers make decisions alone. We want to make it easy for prospects to share their emotional connection to you – without your team in the room. Marketing stories make that happen.
