Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's fiscal function and performance. Participates in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner. Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. Provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the VP/CEO and the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. Develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. Provides continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets. Provides strategic financial input, valuation and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and retirement funds and investments. Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the organization may enter. Supervises the accounting procedures of the company. Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory. Oversees the activities of the Operations Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets. Identifies logistical issues, evaluates market dynamics, and performs technical analyses.
