I am deeply passionate about helping and supporting individuals of all ages and abilities to the best of my ability. As a Community Development Worker in Nailsworth, I am fortunate to fulfil this role every day.Getting to know the local community has been incredibly rewarding. I enjoy spending time chatting with residents, discovering what's happening in the area, and connecting people and resources. My work involves collaboration as part of a team, particularly with the @FGRCommunity team, as well as working independently. I also support a steering group in our efforts.With a balance of assertiveness and empathy, I ensure that everyone is treated with respect and that their basic human needs—food, warmth, and dignity—are met. Currently, I am focused on a food project, striving to keep our local food pantry well-stocked to meet the growing demand.The most rewarding part of my day is knowing that someone leaves happier than when they arrived—it's absolutely priceless!
