Engineer in the Exploration and Development Department for South Louisiana and Coastal Texas. Worked with geologists to evaluate exploration and development opportunities properties. Worked on in-fill drilling and optimal recovery assignments in several Coastal and South Texas Fields, North and South Louisiana, and East Texas. Identified by-passed and undeveloped pay zones. Drilled over 120 wells in 4 years adding reserves of over 12 million BOE at a finding cost of $4.02 BOE. Initiated development of Thomasville Field, Texas, Wilcox. Increased recoverable reserves by 12 BCF. Drilled two successful development wells. New drilling increased production from 500 MSCFD to over 5,000 MSCFD. Initiated changes to gravel packing treatments in the Upper Texas Gulf Coast and fracture treatments in South Texas that resulted in higher initial and sustained production rates. Evaluated exploratory wells and lease opportunities with a team of geoscientists using Monte Carlo simulation, decision tree analysis and trend analysis. Provided technical/evaluations support to Corporate Engineering on year-end, quarterly reserve reports and corporate acquisitions.
