I have worked at the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General (DoD OIG) for 16 years. I spent 12 of those years auditing the Department of Defense and the last 4 years supporting the Audit component and it’s nearly 600 staff members. As an Auditor, my experience included conducting internal audits for government programs and operations related to readiness, logistics, and DoD contracts. Four years ago, I moved to the Audit Front Office where I have focused on the Audit Component's hiring and personnel actions. I work with the Hiring Managers and Human Resource (HR) Specialists to fill all vacancies with the best candidates possible. I have worked to decrease our time to hire with the use of our LinkedIn announcement and Resume inbox. In addition to hiring, I review and approve all personnel actions for our employees before submitting to our HR Department for processing. I have experience working in several personnel systems (DCPDS, FMTS, USA Staffing, and our internal New Hire Onboarding system) and am the Audit POC for these systems. I serve as a liaison between our HR Department and our Audit staff members and do my best to encourage and facilitate cooperation and communication between both groups.
