Cathy has thirty years of experience as a Registered Nurse and eight years as a small business owner of a professional leadership coaching & consulting business. Cathy’s interest & professional background is diverse. She has practiced both in the United States (1991-1999) and in Nova Scotia Canada as a Registered Nurse. Cathy has a clinical background in adult acute care specifically in periop (OR) cardiac care (telemetry; CCU & CVICU); and med-surg ICU. With close to 2O years adult education experience within Health and over a decade of this focused on Professional Practice and Change leadership, Cathy has strived to effectively influence holistic, sustainable change for individuals & systems.Learning drives Cathy's practice as a nurse, leader, coach, mentor and consultant. She has pursued many alternative trainings to best support her clients in their leadership (in life & work) and through transitions. Cathy has collaborated and led key system initiatives designed to support and improve professional practice. Specifically, hospital based telehealth services across the district & province; researched, authored and championed an eLearning organizational strategy; championed and delivered key Healthy Workplace initiatives such as onboarding best practice leadership development & internal coaching programs; civility in the workplace and an inter professional reflective practice program for health care professionals within Acute Care.
