I have been afforded the privilege to work in the field of education in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I have a goal and through work and perseverance I will continue to work on that goal - to not only educate but to educate with a passion to learn for the rest of my life. My personal philosophy revolves around a few of my core values, principally the value of commitment. I am committed to my family, the students I work with as well as the families I partner with. I have learned to be committed to others I must first be committed to myself. Regardless of life's difficulties, I find the time to take care of myself physically and mentally, live my life with optimism and encounter obstacles with an open mind. My education is a never ending, rewarding experience that began in 1992 and continues today. I have been afforded the opportunity to work with hundreds of children and not one was identical to another. They have come from different backgrounds, have their own personal strengths, weaknesses, unique personalities, and traits. I recognize that each of the latter can be hereditary, cultural, or otherwise and I pride myself in having an unwavering acceptance for all. I am honored to have mentors that have helped shape me into the person I am today and encourage me to grow in my field of choice. One thing I remind myself of daily is that obtaining an education shows that I am driven to learn. Predominantly, it is how I apply my knowledge both personally and occupationally that will make a positive difference in the lives of students and their families.
