Software Engineer on the Growth Platform Team

- Full stack software engineer working on our flagship Agile ALM product developed with C#, Microsoft SQL, Javascript (React, Redux)- Supports integrations and sdks in various languages including Java and Javascript (Node.js)- Builds tools to improve developer experience

- Implements and maintains our CI/CD pipelines and tasks with Jenkins, TeamCity, and VersionOne Continuum. Using Python and Powershell, automates phases in the deployment workflow through test, staging, and production environments. Maintains VM infrastructure using VMWare.- Releases and deploys our product to our customers on a biweekly cadence. Continuously improves our release process and release automation to facilitate faster and more reliably release and deployment.- Coordinates between Product Management, Operations, Support, and Development to deliver value and quality to customers. Hosts weekly meetings between groups for planning, Root Cause Analysis for impactful issues and gathers needs across disciplines to improve team member experiences and processes.- Informs developers of areas of risk based on product context before story implementation. Tests new features and debug issues with exploratory techniques along with the use of tools like JMeter, PostMan, and Fiddler. Automates regression cases in Javascript using Selenium, Webdriver.io, Ava and Node.js.

-Embedded tester on a development team, responsible for ensuring quality of the team’s features through identifying and prioritizing test cases in three amigo planning sessions and automated and manual acceptance and regression testing.- Part of a working group that designed and implemented the team’s git branching and release strategy. Went from committing directly to “master” to a feature branch strategy (github flow) adapted to support 4 supported releases. Also replaced a very error-prone and time consuming manual process of git interactive rebasing and cherry-picking to bring a feature into an older-supported version. This led to the team focusing on product features, enabled automation in each pull request, and continuous integration and delivery.- Using ruby and rspec, automated the manual regression test suite around various upgrade scenarios which cost a manual tester 3 hours of setting up, upgrading and tearing down VersionOne instances.

- QA Lead of the scrum team for the Generation Operations module of the EPM (Energy Portfolio Management) Suite. -Executes a regression suite including 800+ automated tests and 100+ manual test scripts for each release.- Develops test plans from functional requirements and writing individual test scripts. Average of 75 new functional test cases created per release of the Resource Optimizer engine and the Generation Operations Module.- Manages repository of test cases with the use of python scripts.- Uses SQL databases to recreate different test environments and scenarios.- Member of testing Tiger Team created to standardize testing and research testing automation technologies and practices.- Presents client and internal demonstrations of the product. Investigates and resolves critical bugs.- Documents new features and defect fixes for the user manual.

Developed and tested web-based software with a focus on Geograhical Information Systems. Java, Javascript, EXT JS, and Flex was used.

Volunteer work for the UGA chapter of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM). Administrated the BCM's website including updating and creating pages for events, setting up online signups, email notifications, and basic graphic design banners for the home page. HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript was used.
