Cathy Douglas is professional recruitment leader with eighteen years experience who has specialised in recruiting for both federal government and the Australian Defence Force. Cathy is the Program Director for Defence & Aerospace, specialising in developing workforce solutions embedded and partnered operationally with her clients within the Defence Industry. Connecting 20 years of experience from ManpowerGroup’s experience working with the Australian Defence Force, from 2020 Cathy lead a high performing Defence Force Recruiting Centre who recruited for the Army, Navy and Airforce within the Canberra and surrounding region in NSW, a public-private collaboration with the Commonwealth of Australia and the largest Recruitment Process Outsourcing contract globally. Prior to this Cathy worked as a Recruiter and Project Delivery Manager for fourteen years with Hays responsible for federal government. She launched and developed the Scribing and Bulk Recruitment division responsible for designing and coordinating large scale complex recruitment campaigns including bulk and graduate recruitment in addition to tailored recruitment strategies to deliver large scale recruitment projects nationally for federal government departments. In conjunction with her stakeholders, she designed developed and delivered national recruitment programs and tailored recruitment solutions to meet individual client requirements and project managed all facets of large scale recruitment rounds including facilitating internal training, designing attraction strategies and advertising, shortlisting, planning and executing assessment centres, coordinating panel interviews and project managed timelines and milestones to ensure stakeholder deadlines were met. Cathy then internally transitioned to manage the high volume Hays Federal Government Office Support portfolio specializing in temp, non ongoing and contract recruiting for APS generalist vacancies within the federal government.
