Planning and management of project outputs including regional action plans, project handbook and software concept development/ business analysis are some of my key tasks. I worked closely with a cross regional project team, local entrepreneurs and stakeholders and European partner regions to evaluate how structural funds are being used in regions to boost young entrepreneurship.iEER is an Interreg Europe funded flagship project gathering together 10 regions around Europe. Initiated by a majority of European Entrepreneurial regions, iEER aims to define smart paths and solutions for partners to boost and orchestrate regional entrepreneurship ecosystems supporting young entrepreneurs. The project pays special attention to the support European Structural funds and regional authorities can offer to the making of a conducive entrepreneurship ecosystem for young entrepreneurs.Through the exchange of best practices and peer learning in 2016–2018, iEER is to develop effective measures and regional policies to improve the regional entrepreneurship ecosystems through quadruple helix cooperation among the HEIs, the private, the public and end users in the partner regions. -

We achieve this through: 1) RESEARCH: Leading Edge Research in Disruptive Innovation Enterprise Solutions (Basic and Applied). 2)CONSULTANCY: For Commercial and Social Organisations which enables their innovation and enterprise requirements. 3)NETWORKING: Helping people who want to be successful to connect with those who are successful to enable their Business Development and Growth. 4)KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER: Transforming Individual’s Innovative Capabilities Our research agenda has a particular focus on research into entrepreneurial learning, incubation and new venture creation and sustainability. It brings together academics, spinout enterprises, student entrepreneurs, start-up businesses and researchers for the study and practice of innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise. CEED aims to be recognised as a global premier centre for the development of the entrepreneurial mindset in the business/social, and the research and education communities. The CEED’s research agenda spans across all departments within the Institute in order to stimulate an entrepreneurial spirit amongst both staff and students. CEED currently hosts four post graduate candidates in the area of entrepreneurship at both masters and PhD levels. In 2013 CEED was awarded EU-FP7 funding as the leader of the ‘Entrepreneurship Track’ work package in the successful IT, Tralee project ‘Network for the transfer of knowledge on traditional foods to SMEs’ under the [KBBE 2013.2.2-02] call theme. -
