For over 30 years, I’ve been coaching my business clients to find their purpose. Or more specifically, to find “what lights them up.” I created the “Lights-On Learning Method (TM) to help people find their true passion in life and work - something that fascinated me because I wanted to discover my OWN calling.Despite my professional accomplishments, I knew something in me had SO much more purpose (and joy!) than what I was actually living in my day to day work. They often feel guilty in their longing for change BECAUSE of their achievements.Think about this phrase for a minute:“What lights you up”The first show I did for NPR on this topic lit up the switchboard - our office was overwhelmed with hundreds of calls from people who were pondering the question - “am I truly living my purpose?” The need to explore this question of what lights us up, and then to find a way to merge life and work, gets more pressing with each year that passes.The first aspect is to give our clients “permission” to go ahead and make the leap of faith.
