As associate editor, I wrote and edited content pertaining to the occupational safety and health profession for ASSE's various publications (e.g., print journal, blog, e-newsletter), and I also designed page layouts for Professional Safety journal. I managed the production of the organization's monthly e-newsletter, which included conducting planning meetings, determining content, assigning stories, and coordinating with other departments for content and publication. I also oversaw production functions for Professional Safety journal (book layout, issue upload, press run, mailing, help manage workflow).

As assistant editor, I was responsible for writing and editing copy, and designing page layouts for the print journal (Professional Safety). I also contributed to daily blog posts and the organization's monthly e-newsletter.

My responsibilities included conducting interviews, writing local news stories and assisting in the production of a weekly publication. I served as the publication photographer, when needed, and managed all classified advertising.
