Leading the work of the Portfolio Management Office to deliver the regional Portfolio of investments in support of developing the Mid Wales economy, realising the Vision for Growing Mid Wales and the Mid Wales Growth Deal, ensuring good governance, management and delivery of activity.

Managing the delivery of two Government funded programmes across Leicester and Leicestershire to include contract negotiation and regular performance monitoring to ensure milestones, spend and output targets are met. Also providing comprehensive reports to LLEP management, Board and Government, maintaining strong relationships.The Local Growth Fund aims to drive growth by enabling the provision of new homes and space for businesses, high quality skills and training facilities, new jobs, broadband, innovation, flood defences and key transport improvements across the city and county. The LLEP was awarded £126m LGF to support 20 projects which together have the capacity to deliver over 7,000 new jobs, over 9,000 new homes and over 25,000 square metres of new commercial floorspace by 2025/26.The Getting Building Fund provides investment for shovel-ready infrastructure projects to create jobs and support economic recovery. The LLEP was awarded £20m to support 4 projects including the rebuilding of St Margaret's Bus Station as zero carbon, and extension of Loughborough University's SportPark.

Responsible for the establishment of the Barking Mad brand and service in the Kettering, Corby and Market Harborough areas. Barking Mad offers a bespoke and professional pet sitting service, providing home-from-home dog boarding. This included:• Undertaking marketing activity to raise brand awareness and handling enquiries. • Undertaking home visits to register new customers, and host families who would look after customers’ dogs.• Ensuring compliance with Franchise agreement and home dog boarding regulations.• Maintaining comprehensive records including financial, and diary management. • Building effective relationships with franchisor, other franchisees, customers and hosts.

Based at Northamptonshire Growth Hub, with lead responsibility for the successful planning and effective delivery of two ERDF funded projects:Ready2Grow – aimed at encouraging people to start a business or supporting SMEs to grow.Innovate Northamptonshire – mainly aimed at established SMEs that are looking to grow through innovation, i.e. the development of new products, processes or services that are new to either the firm or market. The role included contract and partnership management, compliance with government requirements, ensuring programmes met milestones and targets.

Led the Programme Management team with responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of all programmes managed by NEP. This included a range of national programmes such as the Regional Growth Fund and Growing Places, as well as local funding programmes such as INV-ENT and LOCATE. The role included co-ordinating the application, appraisal and selection process, as well as the contracting, monitoring and evaluation of the projects within the programmes, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. Provided support in the delivery of the European Structural Investment Fund.

Responsible for the design, implementation and management of the highly successful High Performance Technologies Investment Programme, funded through the Regional Growth Fund and European Regional Development Fund. The programme awarded £1.5million in grants to 38 businesses which safeguarded and created 473 jobs and levered nearly £10m in private sector investment. Far exceeding the programme targets. The programme was featured in the RGF Annual Monitoring Report published by BIS in July 2014.Established and managed a second £4m RGF programme focused on R&D projects across both the NEP and neighbouring SEMLEP areas. Alongside the grant programmes, continued to manage the long standing and highly regarded Northamptonshire Ambassadors Programme supporting the work of NEP and wider promotion of the County as an investment location.

Responsible for managing and developing the Northamptonshire Ambassadors Programme, a group of key influential and innovative leaders recognised for their contribution to Northamptonshire who work with NEP to support the promotion of Northamptonshire as an investment location. The role involved providing regular information and facilitating events to support Ambassadors with their role, and encouraging their involvement in NEP activities and those of partners.Created and managed the delivery of the Northamptonshire Business Summit 2012, a highly successful event featuring over 20 high profile speakers and a series of workshops providing advice and support to over 200 local businesses.Since 2013, responsible for managing the Regional Growth Fund supported HPT Investment Programme enabling businesses in the High Performance Technologies sector to innovate, grow and create new jobs.

As the policy lead for enterprise and innovation, worked closely with local business support partners such as Northants Chamber, EMB, and FSB to understand the needs of local businesses and how these can be addressed. Monitored new and emerging Government business support initiatives disseminating information internally and to partners as required and investigating funding and project opportunities.

• Worked with local partners on issues relating to economic development in relation to sustainable communities, social enterprise support and credit union development.• Successfully bid for funding to support a tourism project to improve visitor facilities to Naseby battlefield and subsequently managed the delivery of the project • Worked on the BEST Procurement programme, led by SEEM, which focused on how social enterprises could access public sector contracts and subsequently how economic, social and environmental benefits could be incorporated into the tender process.

• Worked with and set up residents groups, helping them to tackle local issues such as crime and disorder, lack of youth and community activities.• Ran a Government pilot ‘Investors in Communities’ which involved helping a group survey local residents, create an action plan and enlist the support of local partners, e.g. Police, to address issues raised.

• Management of social housing tenants to include application visits and allocation assessments, signing up new tenants, rent accounting, rent arrears recovery, neighbour nuisance investigation and following legal processes for property repossession. • Within the latter period concurrently covered maternity leave as Assistant Housing Manager, managing a team handling housing applications and allocations.
