Plan and implement development activities to support the revitalization of Untermyer Park and Gardens, a public park that was gifted to the City of Yonkers by the estate of Samuel Untermyer, the legendary lawyer and philanthropist. Designed by famed architect William Welles Bosworth in 1916 the sprawling gardens overlooking the Hudson River were among the most celebrated in America. The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy was founded in 2011 to facilitate the restoration of the gardens and the interpretation of their extraordinary history.

Member of the management team that implemented a new business model and pursued key strategic initiatives for New York’s oldest and largest genealogical society, founded in 1869. Directed all development and membership activities. Helped identify, cultivate, and recruit ten new trustees. Created/edited content for the quarterly New York Researcher; website, blog and social media; brochures, press releases, and other promotional materials. Served as a managing editor of and contributing author to the New York Family History Research Guide and Gazetteer, the first authoritative reference on New York genealogy. Recruited, trained, and supervised volunteers and interns; helped administer daily office operations.

Directed all fundraising efforts for New York City’s oldest museum and one of the nation’s most distinguished independent research libraries, raising more than $12 million in operating support and assisting to launch a $55 million capital campaign;directed and supervised a staff of five.

Developed, implemented, and managed all fundraising efforts for the country’s premier folk art museum, raising more than $3 million in operating support annually and an additional $5 million in capital gifts. Launched the Folk Art Circle, an upper level giving society which tripled its revenue in three years; the National Council, a non-trustee leadership group of selected $10,000 donors; and the Clarion Society, the museum’s first organized bequest program; directed and supervised a staff of five.

Revitalized a dormant development effort and launched two major gifts campaigns for the country’s leading French language school, library, and performing arts center. Raised more than $1 million each year in operating support; directed a capital campaign that raised $2.6 million for the renovation of the library; directed a major gifts campaign that raised over $2 million for the endowment fund; produced the annual Trophée des Arts Gala; directed and supervised a staff of three.

Developed, implemented, and managed a $40 million capital campaign and a $3 million annual fund campaign for a prominent maritime museum and 19th-century historic district; directed and supervised a staff of three.
