Earned Doctorate of Business Administration from Jacksonville University and Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. Licensed as a certified public accountant in the state of Georgia. Started career with Arthur Andersen, LLP, assisting with financial statement audits of healthcare and manufacturing clients. While at Arthur Andersen, LLP, accepted a plant analyst position with the Medical Division of C.R. Bard, Inc. As plant analyst, was responsible for the monthly financial reporting and analysis of the manufacturing plant. While at Bard, began teaching as an adjunct instructor for Georgia Piedmont Technical College (formerly DeKalb Technical College). Currently, as an assistant professor of accounting at Georgia Gwinnett College, it is a pleasure to play a role in preparing students to achieve their career goals. Have also offered financial planning and tax preparation services to select clients and volunteered as a workshop leader for the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension in DeKalb County instructing participants in money management topics.
